Ibrahim Todashev killed in the USA buried in Chechnya

Ibragim Todashev, a native of Chechnya, who was shot dead in the United States, was buried on June 20 in the evening into the cemetery located in the Grozny District of the ChechenRepublic between the settlements of Prigorodnoe and Gikalo.

Let us remind you that the 26-year-old Ibragim Todashev was shot dead on May 22 by an FBI agent during questioning in connection with the terror act in Boston on April 15 and a triple murder committed in Waltham in 2011, where Todashev's acquaintance Tamerlan Tsarnaev, a native of Chechnya, one of the performers of the terror act, who was killed at detention, was one of the suspects. The FBI reported that Todashev was not suspected of involvement in the Boston terror act.

"As it should be done under Muslim customs, the appropriate ceremonies were held; then, the body was taken to the cemetery and buried, as is should be, before the sunset," Sultan, a villager from Prigorodnoe, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He noted that relatives and fellow villagers believe that Ibragim Todashev was just a victim of circumstances and not involved in any offenses with which he was charged in the United States.

Ibragim Todashev can be considered a martyr, a local clergyman told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" had reported that his father Abdulbaqi Todashev demanded an objective investigation into the death of his son.
