Volgograd: fire victims from Poddubny Street claim faking examination results
The city authorities forced the expert company to change the outcomes of the examination not in favour of the victims of the fire that occurred in the house located in Poddubny Street, said Olga Bozhkova, one of the victims. However, administration officials of the Krasnooktyabrskiy District of Volgograd refute the allegations.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on March 2 a fire occurred in No. 5 in Poddubny Street in the Krasnooktyabrskiy District of Volgograd. The fire destroyed two out of five sections of the house and damaged 30 residential rooms and 15 non-residential premises.
Olga Bozhkova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that initially it was planned to move all the tenants of the house to new flats; however, later the company changed its expert opinion and recommended to repair the burned house.
On June 5, the fire victims sent a complaint to the local prosecutor's office asking to clear out the situation, but there was no response so far.
"The conclusion given to us by the specialized organization clearly states that the house is subject to repair," Vladimir Osyko, the First Deputy Head of the Administration of the Krasnooktyabrskiy District of Volgograd, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The completion date of the repair is November 4, 2013. However, residents of the house affected by the fire are not sure that the works will be completed on time.
