Resident of Dagestan states kidnapping of his brother

Unidentified armed men in masks and camouflage beat and took away to some unknown place Akhmed Kurbanmagomedov, a 25-year-old resident of the city of Izberbash, said his brother Murad Kurbanmagomedov. The press service of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) said that they knew nothing about the kidnapping.

"On June 18, Akhmed with his friends was on his way in his car from the evening prayers. According to the witnesses, when he remained alone in the corner of a busy street, his car was blocked by a Priora car without license numbers; five armed men in masks and camouflage jumped out of the car and started beating Akhmed; then, they pushed him into his car and drove away to some unknown place," Murad Kurbanmagomedov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He also said that his kidnapped brother was a strictly practicing Muslim, and he has a six-month-old child. According to Murad Kurbanmagomedov, he sent letters to relevant authorities, but so far received no information.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that on 14 June Seifudin Babaev, a resident of the city of the Dagestanskie Ogni, was kidnapped in Derbent, as stated by his wife Aida Gafarova.
