Head of Ingushetia reported discharge of Deputy Minister of Agriculture Amerhan Archakov

Head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov ordered to discharge Deputy Minister of Agriculture Amerhan Archakov and employee of accounts department of the Ministry Adam Chertanov. Their names appeared in businessmen’s complaints from whom they demanded money during distribution of grants.

“We started receiving statements from grant receivers who wrote that they were forced to pay so-called cuts while getting subventions, bribes were extorted from them in “Obrazovanie” (“Education”) bank. I want the people to get their money, be left alone and not be discouraged in their work”, Head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov stated.

Evkurov also ordered to create a commission for inspection of legality of the payments made.

The “Caucasian Knot” has no comment from Amerhan Archakov, Adam Chertanov or their representatives yet.

Earlier, on January, 17, Minister of Finance of Ingushetia Murat Malsagov was discharged for violations during grant distribution to farm enterprises and improper course of duty.

Malsagov’s participation in corrupt schemes is questionable, Ombudsman of Ingushetia Dzhambulat Ozdoev considers.

It was not the Ministry of Finance who dealt with allotment of subventions but either regional department of the Ministry of Agriculture (if the grants were distributed among farmers) or the Ministry of Economy when money was allotted on other spheres of business, Ozdoev told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

“Evkurov wanted to discharge Malsagov yet before the New Year. I think the reason for this discharge is that the Ministry of Finance was let run itself. The Minister did not manage his task. I do not think he is involved in corrupt schemes but it is only Public Prosecutor’s office who can give a precise answer”, Ombudsman for businessmen’s rights of Ingushetia Murat Khamathanov considers.
