Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of breaching ceasefire

The press service of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan has reported that on June 11 and 12 Armenian armed forces shelled the Azerbaijani positions in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

According to the MoD, "the shelling was delivered from the positions in the village of Berkaber, Idjevan District of Armenia, as well as from the positions on the nameless heights in the Khodjavend District."

As reported by the MoD, the shelling was silenced by the return fire, the "APA" reports.

So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of the Armenian MoD on the statement of the Azerbaijani counterpart.

Let us remind you that on June 8 the parties to the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh accused each other of breaking the ceasefire. Earlier, Azerbaijan accused Armenia of shelling its positions on June 6. However, the OSCE monitoring conducted on June 6 failed to reveal any violations of the ceasefire.
