Serviceman tried to commit suicide in KChR

In Karachay-Cherkessia, a 23-year contract military from Bashkiria shot to his head and survived. This was reported by the police of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR).

The incident took place on May 12 at the 34th mountain motorized rifle brigade, deployed in the Cossack village of Storozhevaya-2. The commander of a platoon, while serving at the checkpoint, entered his car and shot to his very temple from the service weapon.

The bullet went right through him, and the young man survived. At present, he is at resuscitation ward of the Zelenchuk District Hospital, the "Interfax" reports.

The law enforcement bodies are investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident, the "Gazeta.ru" reports.
