Participant of Islamic wedding party in Kizlyar reports one of detainees was badly beaten and needs medical care

Today, Rasim Ibadanov, a participant of the Kizlyar wedding party with Islamic flags, was delivered to the OVD (Interior Division) connection with his interview, a video record of which was earlier posted on the "YouTube". At least, one of the participants of the Kizlyar wedding party has been severely beaten and in need of medical care, a local resident reports.

Let us remind you that the information about the incident first came from a participant of the wedding party, who said that on April 27, in Kizlyar, law enforcement agents stopped a wedding procession with Islamic flags, and, as a result of the further incident, brought dozens of participants of the wedding ceremony were brought to the OVD (Interior Division). Eyewitnesses reported the beating of participants of the wedding ceremony, and, in its turn, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) issued a message on the detention of members of extremist organization. Criminal cases were initiated against four detainees on the fact of violence committed against power representatives. This was reported on April 28 by a representative of the investigatory agencies.

Rasim Ibadanov was not among the detained persons. On April 28, the "YouTube" disseminated a video record of his interview, in which Rasim Ibadanov spoke about how the wedding procession had been stopped. He stated that the detained participants to the wedding party were not allowed to be visited by advocates and that relatives filed a complaint to the Prosecutor's Office. Besides, he said that one of the detainees was in serious condition and that only on the other day, that detainee was brought to the hospital out of the OVD.

In the evening of April 29, Rasim Ibadanov was detained not far from the OVD building. This was reported to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Bilyal Magomedov, a resident of Kizlyar, who knew many participants of the wedding party very well.

According to the Bilyal Magomedov's information, during their conversation with Rasim, law enforcement agents "were particularly interested of the video record."

Bilyal Magomedov also stated that on April 28, Rustam Ibadanov, a Rasim's brother, who was detained in the incident of April 27, was brought to the hospital from the OVD under police escort. "He got a broken arm and beaten kidneys. However, he was not hospitalized, but only plastered, and after that the policemen took him back to the OVD. Relatives complain that the detainees are not allowed to be visited by advocates and not informed of the trial date. They are going to appeal to human rights activists," Bilyal Magomedov said.

The Kizlyar ROVD does not investigate any case in connection with the wedding party, and he is not aware of the detention of Rasim Ibadanov. This, in his turn, Gazi Isalmagomedov, the ROVD Chief, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The detainees waived their assigned attorneys, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told in the Investigatory Department of Dagestan.

This information was confirmed by advocate Galina Plaksunova.

"I was assigned to defend one of the detainees; however, he waived my services. His family members decided to invite an advocated under the agreement from Makhachkala to defend him," she told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
