No less than 695 people in Dagestan became victims of armed conflict in 2012

The total number of victims of armed conflict in Dagestan in 2012 made no less than 695 persons, 405 out of them were killed and 290 got wounded. This is the total of calculation by the “Caucasian Knot” based on its own correspondents’ data and information from open sources.

231 people who according to law enforcement bodies were involved in paramilitary groups were killed in 2012 in Dagestan, seven more got wounded at the moment of detention.

110 members of power ministries were killed in 2012 in Dagestan and 205 got wounded as a result of firing, explosions and armed confrontations.

Among civilians 142 persons became victims of armed conflict in 2012 in Dagestan, 64 out of them perished and no less than 78 got wounded.

The above mentioned figures show that the number of victims went down by over 15,6% in comparison between 2011 and 2012.
