Georgian TV reporter beaten in Ajaria

The Georgian television company Rustavi-2 reported on Friday, March 5, police officers had beaten its reporter Vakho Komakhidze in Batumi, Ajaria.

The TV company says traffic police stopped the vehicle driven by Komakhidze and a cameraman near Khelvachauri after which the policemen started to beat the journalists without any explanations, as the TV company claims.

Seriously injured, the reporter was delivered to a Batumi hospital, the TV company says.
