Azerbaijan oppositionists condemned for participation in riots on October 15-16, 2003

On March 4, several representatives of the Azerbaijan opposition were condemned for participation in the mass riots in Baku on October 15-16, 2004.

The Court for Grave Crimes sentenced four defendants to imprisonment for the periods from 3 to 5 years and put five defendants on probation for the periods from 4 to 5 years. The latter were released from the court room.
