Evidence of mother of Yandiev defendants announced at the trial on the case of terrorist act in “Domodedovo” airport

Trial on the case of terrorist act in “Domodedovo” airport in January of 2011 was continued in Moscow regional court today. Public prosecutor’s office interrogated the two defendants’ mother.

Muirahan Maisagova, Islam and Ilez Yandiev’s mother, refused to evidence against her immediate relatives referring to clause 51 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

For this reason Public Prosecutor Svetlana Pavlova entered a motion of announcing Maisagova’s evidence given by her during preliminary inquiry on the case.

On entering the courtroom the woman at once took a seat on the bench for the audience and when standing at the tribune she confirmed that Islam and Ilez Yandiev were her sons and used her right not to evidence against her immediate relatives.

Then State Prosecutor announced the witness’s evidence given by her during preliminary inquiry.

“Ilez was not religious, he smoked and did not pray”, the defendant’s mother said to the investigators. She also described her second son Islam as a person “not interested in religion”.

The defendants’ mother said nothing in the courtroom and looked malcontent. The defendants themselves were calm during the trial, the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent reports.
