Georgian border guards detain vessel with fish products from Abkhazia

The Turkish ship named "Aydar" with fish products was detained, on its way from Abkhazia, by Georgian border guards in the neutral area of the Black Sea.

As reported by Zaur Ardzinba, Director General of the State Company "Abkhaz Shipping Company", the ship was detained in the evening on March 20.

The ship failed to reach its destination – the city of Trabzon in Turkey – and was convoyed to the Georgian port of Poti.

The crew of "Aydar", consisting of two citizens of Russia, two – of Ukraine, and others – citizens of Azerbaijan, was also detained, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

The ship carries fish products of Abkhazia – fish meal and fish oil, the "Apsnypress" reports.
