In Volgograd "Independent Inspection" checks situation on roads

In Volgograd, the members of the public organization (in the process of creation) "Independent Inspection" made an inspection of motor roads with the aim to protect citizens' rights and combat corruption. The action was 30 persons strong.

The organizers of the "Independent Inspection" are the blogger Alexei Ulyanov, known in Volgograd for his fight "for good roads", and his comrade Denis Grigoriev.

"The aim of our organization is to combat lawlessness, protect citizens' rights, and anticorruption activities," Mr Ulyanov explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "We'll work with the authorities and force them to make results."

"We made a visual inspection of roads and understood that we have pretty plenty of job," said the blogger. "The next stage will be to go there with video and photo equipment. We plan to review yards, check the quality of repairs; and after we get registered, we'll draw up protocols and present them to the administration. I think we'll be able to establish dialogue both with the authorities and the police".
