Dagestani MIA: three persons killed and one injured in bank blasts

As a result of two explosions, which occurred today in a bank in the village of Shamilkala of the Untsukul District of Dagestan, three persons were killed and one was injured. This was reported today by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Dagestan.

The first explosion occurred at 09:15 a.m. Moscow time near the office of the commercial "Vitas Bank", where the windows and the front door of the building were shattered, and no one suffered. At 12:15 a.m., when policemen inspected the damaged one-storey building, the second explosive device detonated.

As a result, three persons were killed. Two of them were staff members of the investigatory agencies: Senior Sergeant Karimula Kutbudinov and Major Vladimir Sakharov. One policeman, who got shrapnel wounds to his legs, was taken to the central hospital of the village of Gergebil of the Gergebil District. This was reported by the official website of the Dagestani MIA.

Davud Murtazaliev, a former bank employee, became one more victim. According to preliminary information, he was also the owner of the building, in which the bank was located, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to a source at the law enforcement agencies.

On June 29, 2012, the license for banking operations of the "Vitas Bank" was revoked, the "Deposit Insurance Agency" reports.

One of the websites, supporting the armed underground, called the explosions a "successful sabotage".
