Pensioners in Krasnodar came out for a meeting with slogans “Hands off Putin!”

About one hundred pensioners in Krasnodar took part in an action organized by party “Social Justice”. The action was held under the slogan “Hands off Putin!” aimed against “Yabloko” party.

The public action authorized by local Administration passed off on November, 19, just near the office of “Yabloko” regional branch. In the organizers’ opinion, it is just this party that constitutes the greatest menace for the incumbent president, the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent reports.

The majority of participants were elderly people, there were only several organizers from among the youth. Most of the pensioners did not speak or chant slogans. They made no comments preferring to communicate with one another and avoid the cameras.

Viacheslav Yushkin, host of the action, put a metal bucket with an inscription “Trash of history” before the participants, put white and orange ribbons into it and set fire.

“The whole political career of “Yabloko” in the territory of the Russian Federation will end with smoke, dust and flame just like this. Let them develop their activities in the territory of their beloved Britain or the USA”, he commented.

The pensioners questioned by the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent said that they did not quite understand the goal of the action up to its end. They studied informational materials produced by activists of “Yabloko” during the same action with interest.

Alfia Shilova, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, explained the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent that she came to the meeting on invitation, just “to hear what we wish” without knowing the topic of the action before.

“He (the speaker – note by the “Caucasian Knot”) said that they wanted to split us up into pieces. We do not want that but as far as could understand, “Yabloko” does”, she said.

The pensioner added that she did not wish things to be the way the speakers explained. “As for me, I do not want to be under America… I am satisfied with what we have. No war, that is the main thing. I do not want war, even a civil one”, she said.

After burning down white and orange ribbons in the bucket the participants stood on the sidewalk with three posters “Hands off Putin!” and flags with inscriptions “Krasnodar for Putin” and ”Social justice” for half an hour more. Then upon the organizer’s command they left the site of the action after putting their signatures on some lists.

“It was already the second action of ”Social justice” near the party’s office this month, Igor Kharchenko, member of the Bureau of regional Council of Krasnodar “Yabloko” branch, said to the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent. – Earlier ”Social Justice” was a charitable organization and helped the pensioners, now they are just using them”.
