Defence of convicts after "Dagestani wedding" in Moscow challenges their arrest

Today, the defence of Zurab Ramazanov and Ruslan Mamedrzaev, the shooters at the "Dagestani wedding" in Moscow, has filed a complaint against the decision of the magistrate judge to arrest each of them for five days each, said Fuad Mirzoev, the advocate of both of them.

"We've lodged a brief cassation appeal, because we don't agree with the decision of the magistrate judge and find his decision illegal. My clients are innocent; there was no reason to punish them," said Mr Mirzoev.

According to his story, so far, he has submitted a brief cassation complaint to the Tver District Court of Moscow stating that the defence and the defendants do not agree with recognition of their guilt of committing an administrative offence and with the appointed punishment.

"I'm sure to lodge supplements to the complaint with detailing the arguments and explaining why we don't agree with the decision of the court," said the lawyer.
