Krasnodar: challenge of judge in Kuschevskaya massacre case rejected for the third time

Today, at the sitting of the Krasnodar Territorial Court on the criminal case against alleged members of the Tsapok's gang, the motion to dismiss the presiding judge was denied for the third time.

The court has also dismissed another motion lodged by Igor Skripka, Tsapok's advocate, to make a handwriting examination of signatures of the deceased suspects in the case Vitaly Ivanov and Sergey Karpenko in interrogation protocols.

Today, the court has started studying the case files with state prosecutor's announcing the interrogation protocol of Sergey Karpenko. After a 45-minute reading of the written story told by Karpenko about details of preparation and execution of the massacre in the house of Server Ametov, one of the victims went out of the courtroom; and the judge stopped reading.

After a ten-minute break, the state prosecutor read out Karpenko's testimony for a half an hour more; then, the judge announced the adjournment of the trial until November 21. It is planned that at the next court session, the prosecutor will announce Ivanov's testimony in the presence of the jury.
