In Ingushetia, power agents plant cartridges to house of Khasan Esmurziev, his relatives assert

Relatives of Khasan Esmurziev, a resident of Ingushetia, detained by power agents, claim cartridges were planted to his house during the search. They sent Pavel Belyakov, Prosecutor of Ingushetia, a complaint against the actions of policemen, who conducted the search in the house.

On October 26, during a special operation in Ingushetia, power agents detained Khasan Esmurziev, suspected of involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF). According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), during his detention, the man got wounds to his limbs, and, during his search, power agents found two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) a "shahid belt" with capacity of 1 kg of TNT equivalent and a "khattabka" grenade with capacity of 50 grams of TNT equivalent.

During and after his detention, Khasan Esmurziev was tortured. This was stated by his wife Rumina Kozdoeva. According to her, on November 8, their house and yard were also searched, and during the search, power agents found items, not belonging to the owners of the house.

"At about 07:30 a.m., 7-8 persons, dressed in camouflage and with automatic weapons in their hands, broke into our house. They ordered us to get up, get dressed and go out without giving any explanations of the circumstances and presenting of the proper documents. When we went out to the yard, we saw about 70-80 more persons, and they were everywhere," Rumina Kozdoeva said.

According to the woman, after that, the tenants of the household stood in the street for about an hour, and one of the power agents said that they found 7.62-mm calibre cartridges in the quantity of 18 units in the back room of the house.

"The policeman began to ask us how we got them and how long we kept them. I replied that the cartridges did not belong to us, and I know precisely that none of our family members do have anything in common with found cartridges," the woman said.

A source at the Investigatory Department of the Investigatory Committee of Ingushetia confirmed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the search in the house of Khasan Esmurziev was held within criminal proceedings, instituted against him.
