The Court selected 12 principal and 19 additional jurors. Today, the consideration of the case on the merits is to be started, and it will be held in public mode.

According to a source of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, earlier, the secretariat of the Regional Court sent to potential jurors about 1000 invitations, and the Court included in the preliminary list for the court hearing, to be held on November 8, 105 potential jurors, who came to the court session to the Krasnodar Regional Court. However, more than half of the candidates 56 persons waived themselves, reasoning it by different factors, including duration and volume of the process, resonance of the criminal case and already formed opinion with respect to the defendants, which could prevent objectivity.

In total, the Court had to select 30 persons (12 principal and 18 additional jurors). According to the results of the court session, the Court selected 32 persons (the number of additional jurors was increased to 20 persons); after that, the 12 principal members of the formed jury left the room to elect the chairman of the jury.

In the final stage of the formation of the jury bringing the jury to swearing one of the earlier selected candidate was excluded from the list of jurors, since he refused swearing the oath. Thus, to consider the case against the "Tsapok criminal gang", the Krasnodar Regional Court selected 31 juror (12 principal and 19 additional).

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been told by one of the local residents involved in the criminal case as a witness that victims and witnesses expect a long trial. "Such a number of episodes and amount of materials will, for sure, take at least a year or a year and a half for a judicial investigation and sentencing," the local resident said. He continued: "Especially in connection with the geographical dispersion of participants of the process and their representatives. Therefore, we do not expect a quick trial."
