Alexei Navalny's "Good Truth Machine" ready to help Krymsk and Derbent victims

The "Good Truth Machine", the new project of oppositionist Alexei Navalny, a fighter against corruption, includes collecting funds for emergencies and willingness to render financial assistance to residents of Derbent and Crimean and to help them "with working hands". This was reported by Georgy Alburov, the coordinator of the organization.

The flooding of July 6-7, which occurred in the Krasnodar Territory, killed 165 persons, and 1719 houses were recognized to be completely destroyed. The Krymsk District was mostly affected. On October 10, in Derbent, rainfalls caused the flooding, which killed 6 persons, and about 600 houses were flooded.

"The newly organized 'Good Truth Machine' includes a large number of subprojects, in particular, 'leaflet websites', websites dedicated to housing and utilities tariffs, slander, and collection of funds for emergencies, such as in Krymsk or Derbent," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Georgy Alburov, the coordinator of the "Good Truth Machine".

He has clarified that at present, the website does not collect money; however, in the nearest future, the initiative will be implemented. According to Georgy Alburov, the funding of the project "Good Truth Machine" is being implemented by the Anti-Corruption Foundation of Alexei Navalny.

Yet in mid-March, Alexei Navalny, a fighter against corruption, reported in his "Live Journal" on creation of the "Good Truth Machine", also called "Good Propaganda Machine", calling the organization "Mega-hyper-agitation machine of good".

"The 'Good Propaganda Machine' includes people, its participants, who undertook voluntary commitments to participate in dissemination of truthful information in the extent and in the format comfortable for them. Someone is engaged one hour a week, and another seven hours per week," Alexei Navalny reported.

Ilya Kostunov, a member of the faction "United Russia", a member of the State Duma Committee for Security and Anti-Corruption, expressed his sceptical attitude towards the establishment of the "Good Propaganda Machine".

"This is a propaganda machine in the negative sense of the word. They do not have to lie, since it is enough not to tell the truth. I have seen some materials, posted on the website. This is a pure propaganda. They posted not a drop of 'good'," Ilya Kostunov believes.
