Magomed Mutsolgov and Rasul Kadiev are among candidates to Human Rights Council, introduced to Vladimir Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed to the Council for Civil Society Development and Human Rights to discuss its expansion by including the leaders of Internet voting, including Magomed Mutsolgov, the leader of the organization "Mashr" and a blogger of the "Caucasian Knot". Vladimir Putin also promised to consider additional candidates, voiced by Mikhail Fedotov, the head of the Council, including Rasul Kadiev, a lawyer from Dagestan.

In total, 190 applications to the new composition of the Council were considered, and, as a result, 83 candidates were selected from the submitted questionnaires, and they were divided into 13 categories. The website of the Presidential Council for Civil Society Development and Human Rights Council (HRC) held online voting for the selection of candidates for the new composition of the Council.

Of that nomination, Mikhail Fedotov advised the President to also include in the Council Igor Kalyapin, Chairman of the interregional public organization "Committee against Torture".

Blogger Rasul Kadiev, the lawyer from Dagestan, was recommended by Mikhail Fedotov to the President as one of eight additional members of the Council.

The President has noted that the list of additional members of the Council will be separately considered.
