Leaders of "Mekhk-Kkhel" decide to move hunger strike from Ingushetia to Moscow

The authorities of Ingushetia impeded holding in the republic a mass hunger strike, declared by members of the regional public movement "Mekhk-Kkhel", and because of that fact, it was decided to move it to Moscow. This was reported by Idris Abadiev, the leader of the movement.

According to him, all hunger-strikers, detained on October 29, including Mussa Abadiev, beaten by power agents, are still kept at the Nazran GOVD (City Interior Division).

Officials from the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) explained the detention of the participants of the protest action by the fact that they failed to obey to the orders to leave the building, from which MIA staff members evacuated people because of the report on a bomb, planted there.

Idris Abadiev denies the information of the press service of the Ingush MIA and notes that initially, there was a police squad near the building and that the police officers did not impeded the hunger-strikers to hold their protest action.

"And then, the building was surrounded by fully armed OMON (riot police) fighters in masks. If they really wanted to check the building for explosives, why should all of them wear masks? And why the electricity was switched off?" Idris Abadiev said in his interview to the "Caucasian Knot".

He points out that initially, 50 hunger-strikers were detained. At present, their number reached five persons.

According to lawyer Makka Arsamakova, all detainees are kept the Nazran GOVD, and the lawyers were not allowed there.
