Dagestani resident, accidentally wounded by power agents, accused of threatening an official

Ibragim Aliev, a resident of the Khasavyurt District, who was accidentally wounded by power agents in November 2011, is accused of threatening a power representative. At present, he is being kept at a detention facility, and his lawyer reported on deterioration of the detainee's health, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

On November 17, 2011, at about 08:00 p.m., at the entrance to the city of Khasavyurt, during the control and protective measures, power agents shelled and damaged the Ibragim Aliev's car. Ibragim Aliev himself was wounded.

"I was wounded by two bullets, one of which is still in my spine column. The doctors state that it is dangerous to remove it," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Ibragim Aliev. According to the victim, the power agents signaled him to stop his car, and he obeyed; however, when the car was slowing down, they opened fire on him. It turned out that the power agents had confused the Ibragim Aliev's car with the other person's car.

The victim has stated that the investigation into the incident is being delayed. The investigators have failed to reveal, who shot to the car of the local resident, wounded him and damaged his car. Officials from the investigatory agencies of the Khasavyurt District argue that the investigation into the accident is underway.

Meanwhile, Mansur Sepikhanov, the lawyer of Ibragim Aliev, has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that his client, being in the status of the victim in one case, became the defendant in the other case, was accused by another, and at present, he is being kept at the detention facility of Khasavyurt.

According to the lawyer, on September 28, the criminal case under Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (threat or violence in connection with administration of justice or preliminary investigation) was instituted against Ibragim Aliev.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the investigatory agencies of the Khasavyurt District that the criminal case against Ibragim Aliev was instituted on the basis of the complaint, received from Judge A. Sataev about alleged threats against him. At present, the investigation is underway.

Mansur Sepikhanov, the lawyer of Ibragim Aliev, insists on the innocence of his client.
