Remnants of missing Plievo resident found in Ingushetia

In the evening of October 24, the remains of Orts Almurziev, a disappeared resident of the village of Plievo, was found in the forest area between the villages of Ali-Yurt and Surkhakhi, two kilometres from the road. This was reported by Akhmed Kotiev, Secretary of the Security Council of Ingushetia.

The 28-year Orts Almurziev disappeared on October 18 after he left to visit his client for work. This was reported by his mother Raishat Kokurkhoeva.

The remains were found by military personnel, who conducted a search into the forest area. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Akhmed Kotiev. According to him, several days ago, the Security Council received complaints about the disappearance of Orts Almurziev and Zurab Agiev from their relatives.

"The remains of Orts Almurziev were found last night. Most likely, he was blown up by a mine. The fact that the remains belonged to Orts Almurziev was revealed in the morning by the driver's license, found near the place of explosion," Akhmed Kotiev has noted. He has added that next to the place of death of the young man they found a shelter, covered with a weatherproof plastic wrap.

The complaint about the disappearance under unclear circumstances of Orts Almurziev and Zurab Agiev was filed by the relatives of the young people also to the Ingush Branch of the organization "Memorial". This was reported by Timur Akiev, Chairman of the Ingush Branch.

On that day, Orts Almurziev and Zurab Agiev left to visit a client for work. This was reported by Amina, a relative of Orts Almurziev. "Orts told his wife Lisa that they would return to five o'clock. However, instead of them, at about six o'clock, a lot of people in uniform came, and they began to conduct a search that lasted till 12 o'clock at night. They found nothing," Amina said.

According to her, an hour prior to the arrival of special forces, mobile phones of Orts Almurziev and Zurab Agiev were switched off. "Orts was going to build a house, and he left two small children," the girl has noted.
