About 30 people in Armenia took part in a procession in support of Vardan Oskanyan

Today a procession of members of "Civilitas" foundation in support of its founder Vardan Oskanyan was held in Yerevan. About 30 participants of the action marched from "Civilitas" office to the building of Prosecutor General's and brought a message with a demand to stop pressure on the foundation an VardanOskanyan to Prosecutor General of Armenia.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that a criminal case was initiated against deputy from "Prosperous Armenia" (PPA) fraction, founder of "Civilitas" foundation Vardan Oskanyan on indication to laundering of money.

During the procession members of "Civilitas" were reading out the chronology of events connected with the case of ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Vardan Oskanyan and distributed leaflets with the chronology and letter of demand.

The procession was escorted by representatives of law enforcement bodies. The members of "Civilitas" declared that their action was one of peaceful nature. "However, we are not going to stop halfway and will in any case achieve suspension of prosecution of both Vardan Oskanyan and "Civilitas" foundation", one of the participants of the procession said.

Prosecutor General Agvan Ovsepyan did not come out to the marchers and the participants of the procession put the letter into the mailbox of Prosecutor Generals'.

It should be reminded that on October, 2, Vardan Oskanyan was deprived of parliamentary privilege. Deputies from the Republican Party of Armenia and the party"Country of Lawfulness" took part in the voting. The ruling Republican Party of Armenia denies political motivation of the criminal case.
