Beaten Kevork Sunguryan dies in Sochi

In the morning of October 9, in Sochi, in the resuscitation ward of the Khosta Hospital No. 3, Kevork Sunguryan died from injuries, inflicted to him on October 2. This was reported by hospital physicians.

Let us remind you that on October 2, at about 04:00 p.m., an ambulance brought 64-year-old disabled Kevork Sunguryan to the traumatology ward with a closed fracture of his left femur. According to eyewitnesses, the man was beaten near the gate of his house in Adler.

Kevork Sunguryan connected the attack on himself with the case on withdrawal of his land plot in Krasnaya Polyana. According Kevork Sunguryan, it was the second criminal attack on him, which the police refused to investigate. In his interview to the "Caucasian Knot", Kevork Sunguryan claimed that he would name the executor of the attempts on October 9.

Svetlana Koroleva, the inspector of the unit on duty of the Adler OVD (Interior Division), has stated that, in accordance with the OVD internal instruction, police officers are strictly forbidden to talk to the media. According to her, the information about where the complaint, filed by Kevork Sunguryan, was forwarded can be obtained only at the Sochi UVD (Interior Department). Andrei Kovalenko, Chief of the press service of the UVD, refused to comment on the situation with Kevork Sunguryan.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that for five days, the police failed to respond to the report from the hospital on criminal injury of Kevork Sunguryan.
