Makhachkala residents express their indignation at power agents' failure to inform them about special operation

Special operation near the village of Agachaul of the Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan, located in the vicinities of Makhachkala, is conducted by military men on detached service of the Ministry of Defence (MoD). This was reported by a source in the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). Residents of Makhachkala claim that the morning bombing of the forest near the village of Agachaul raised panic among them.

Let us remind you that this morning, it was reported on two explosions in Makhachkala, which took place in the morning with an interval of five minutes. Officials from the Dagestani MIA stated that the explosions were not terror acts, and a source in the law enforcement agencies noted that power agents were bombing the city vicinities to terminate a militant grouping. Later, officials from the republic's operational headquarters reported on the introduction of counter-terrorist operation in the territory of the Kumtorkala District, adjacent to the capital of Dagestan.

The Dagestani MIA does not have any information on the ongoing special operation in the vicinities of the village of Agachaul, located not more than 10 km from Makhachkala. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a source in the Dagestani MIA.

He has noted that the special operation is carried out by the Russian Ministry of Defence. "We can share only the information that they will tell us. At present, it was only reported that a grouping of suspected members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) was discovered in the vicinities of the village of Agachaul. I cannot speak of their number; however, according to the currently available information, the grouping is large it consists of 30 persons," the source has emphasized.

He has confirmed that the CTO regime was introduced in the Kumtorkala District (the village of Agachaul is located in the Karabudakhkent District on the border with the Kumtorkala District). "The militants are being chased," the source stated.

Residents of Makhachkala report that the morning bombing of the forest in the vicinities of the village of Agachaul was quite intensive and it seriously disturbed them.

Madina Salamova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that she did not let her children to go to school.

She emphasizes that nothing was explained on TV. "Then, two hours later, I learned that it was a special operation. Why shouldn't they warn ordinary people about that? Why even after its start they do not explain everything and keep us in fear?" Madina Salamova says.
