Power agents demand to stop protest action on highway in Untsukul District of Dagestan

In the Untsukul District of Dagestan, military men demanded that picketers from the village of Tsatanikh should unblock the highway. This was reported by the participants of the protest actions, whose number had been increased.

Let us remind you that residents of the village of Tsatanikh, who blocked the highway near the village of Gimry, demand that law enforcement agents should reveal the whereabouts of Shamil Saipulaev, the leader of the village, who disappeared on October 6.

Arrived armed military men appealed the picketers with the demand to unblock the highway. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Magomedali Magomedov, one of the picketers.

"Their number was about 50 persons. They are all from the detached service, deployed at temporary district police stations. They hold shields and batons in their hands. If we do not leave the place, they will disperse us. They told us. However, the number of people is growing. At present, about 1000 persons take part in the rally. At present, the relatives of the disappeared man and Magomed Magomedov, Chief of the District OVD (Interior Division), as a representative of the police, conduct negotiations," the participant of the protest action has emphasized.

A source in the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) stated that the relatives of the disappeared man had not filed a complaint to the police. "Shamil Saipulaev disappeared on Saturday, October 6. Till present, his relatives did not file the complaint to the police. At present, they blocked the entrance to the village of Gimry. About 300 cars are not able to enter or to leave the village," the policeman said.

Earlier, the participants of the protest action have stated that they will not unblock the highway till they are told about the whereabouts of Shamil Saipulaev.
