In Dagestan, case against teenager, who shot dead his father's killer, to be brought to court

Investigation into the case against a 17-year-old resident of the village of Novo-Kumukh of the Buinaksk District of Dagestan, who shot dead a villager, who killed his father and wounded his mother, is in the final stage. This was reported by investigators. The teenager, against whom criminal proceedings were instituted, is under home arrest, and he faces 5-15 years of imprisonment.

Let us remind you that on July 14, at a house in the village of Novo-Kumukh, the body of a 44-year-old man was found, and his 39-year-old wife was wounded. Azamat Aliev, their 17-year-old son, also got gunshot wounds. He chased Murzabek Gasanov, who attacked his family, and made a fatal shot to him.

According to the investigators, quarrel of two residents of the village of Novo-Kumukh, which ended in the shooting of a hunting rifle, arose from earlier hostile relations. The 17-year-old son of the deceased man took out of the house an illegally held submachine gun and started to chase the attacker in a car. He caught up him on the road Buinaksk-Makhachkala and shot to the attacker's leg. The latter died in hospital from the wound.

The case is being considered by the investigatory authorities of the Buinaksk District of Dagestan.

At present, Azamat Aliev is under home arrest.

"The decision was pronounced by the court, which dismissed the request of the investigatory authorities, which insisted on keeping the teenager in custody. Meanwhile, the investigators did not find 'traces of intention' in the crime, committed by the teenager he just wanted to hurt the man and he chose his legs, that is, not the vital organs, as a target. However, the result was that the wounded man died from loss of blood," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Rasul Temirbekov, the official representative of the Investigatory Committee of the Republic of Dagestan.

According to the representative of the investigatory authorities of Dagestan, the criminal case against Azamat Aliev was instituted under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of serious bodily injury that resulted negligently in death of victim).

"The case is in the final stage of the investigation," Rasul Temirbekov has noted. He stated that in the nearest future it will be brought to the court. The representative of the investigatory authorities did not report any other details of the case.

In accordance with the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, under the charged Article, the 17-year-old teenager could face 5-15 years of imprisonment. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Ruslan Magomedov, a lawyer of the Dagestani Bar.

The "Caucasian Knot" has no comment of Azamat Aliev himself or his legal representative.

Relatives of the murdered Murzabek Gasanov refused to comment on the situation.
