An official of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Georgia detained in South Ossetia transferred to the Georgian party

Policeman Mogeli Tomiashvili detained after an incident near the frontier post of Karzman in South Ossetia was transferred to the authorities of Georgia, a representative of Press Service of the Observer Mission of European Union (OMEU) in Georgia reported.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" informed that on September, 29, KGB of South Ossetia reported detention of a resident of the settlement of Ksius, officer of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, for suspicion of firing upon the frontier post in the settlement of Karzman, Dzau district of South Ossetia. During detention a military carbine with an underbarrel grenade was confiscated from Tomiashvili. On the same day the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Georgia confirmed the information of their officer Mogeli Tomiashvili's detention. The Ministry of Interior Affairs of Georgia demanded from Russia to release the detainee.

The deed of conveyance took place on October, 1, however mass media reported it only on October, 3.

Police officer Mogeli Tomiashvili was transferred to Georgia by Russian border guards, "Novosti Georgia" referring to Press Service of the Observer Mission of European Union (OMEU) in Georgia reports. The Mechanism of prevention and reaction to incidents (MPRI) promoted quick settlement of the incident, IA "Res" reports.
