A nominee deputy of Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar region reports beating

At night of September, 30, unidentified persons in Krasnodar beat up nominee deputy of Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar region Alexey Gusak who got a jaw fracture as a result. The police are searching for the attackers.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that election of Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar region would be held on October, 14. All in all 25 branches of political parties 23 out of which have regional representative offices have a right to participate in the election, however only 17 parties nominated their candidates.

"Last midnight I was beaten up at the front door of my house and got three fractures of my jaw. Now it is difficult for me to speak", Alexey Gusak wrote in his micro-blog on the Twitter.

He wrote that he did not understand the purpose of beating for the attackers did not speak. However, he considers that the assault was not accidental. According to him, he was beaten up purposefully because the criminals called him by his name.

He says that the police started inquiry on the incident. "Today the police worked with me a lot. All will be well! It is only a pity that two weeks remain before the election and I cannot speak", Gusak remarked.

A criminal case was initiated on the fact according to clause 122 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (deliberate causing harm of middle gravity to a person's health) which stipulates a penalty of up to five years of custody, Head of Press Service of Department of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Russia in Krasnodar Ilia Shakalov reports.

Alexey Gusak is a Director of "Liman" limited company. He is on the list of nominee deputies of Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar region from "United Russia" party, "Kuban Live" reports.
