Local authorities promise to repair motorway, because of which residents of Dugulubgei village come to protest action

The motorway, because of which, on September 24, residents of the village of Dugulubgei of Kabardino-Balkaria blocked the federal highway, is listed in the plan for capital repair. This was reported by Gennady Shogentsukov, the first deputy head of the administration of the Baksan city district.

Let us remind you that the spontaneous protest action was attended by about 300 persons. They expressed their dissatisfaction with the quality of local motorway in the village of Dugulubgei at the intersection of Baksanov and Kokov Streets. The protestors assumed the road traffic accident rate significantly increased there because of the poor condition of the motorway.

The protest action was caused by the road traffic accident, which occurred there in the evening of September 22 and as a result of which three persons perished. One of them was a resident of the village of Dugulubgei. A source at the GIBDD (road traffic police) told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the car was moving at a speed of 130 km per hour.

Earlier, a source at the law enforcement agencies of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) told the RIA "Novosti" that on September 23, in Baksanov Street in the village of Dugulubgei, three cars collided, and, as a result, two persons perished.

"In August, the republic's government allocated 42 million roubles for the repair of this section of the motorway. The local budget added 18 million roubles to those funds. With this money we were going to repair this section of the motorway," Gennady Shogentsukov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He has added that at present, it is impossible to conduct repair without a tender, and the date of September 24 was a deadline for bidders; the very tender will be held on September 27.

"Since the object is very important, we will choose such a contractor, who would agree to carry out the works also at nights," Gennady Shogentsukov has emphasized.

It is planned to repair a section of the motorway from the entrance to the town of Baksan from the village of Psychokh to the village of Dugulubgei.

The deputy head of the Baksan administration also notes that residents of the village of Dugulubgei block the federal highway all the time when they wish to express their dissatisfaction of anything. And, according to the official, it is unacceptable.

Gennady Shogentsukov said that the information about the tender was published in newspapers, and it was posted on the administration's website.
