Relatives of Alihan Gardanov killed in a special operation in Ingushetia state his innocence

Alihan Gardanov aged 30 killed on September, 18, in the stanitsa of Orjonikidzevskaya was a self-employed taxi-driver, had neither wanted notices nor problems with the law, his mother Aishat Gardanova states asking to initiate a criminal case on his murder.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that in the evening of September, 18, members of power ministries killed five supposed participants of paramilitary groups in the stanitsa of Orjonikidzevskaya which was reported by Department of Federal Security Service in Ingushetia. According to the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Chechnya, three killed men, Shamil Dzeitov, Timur Khayauri and Aslan Albakov, were natives of Chechnya and leaders of "Sunzha" gangsters' group.

The fourth killed person was resident of the stanitsa of Orjonikidzevskaya Arthur Atabaev aged 31 who according to a source in power ministries of the republic, was suspected of involvement in murder of district police officer Balaev of Sunzha district Department of Interior Affairs in 2011.

Local resident Alihan Gardanov was also killed in this special operation but he never committed any crimes, his mother Aishat Gardanova states. According to her, he got to the scene of the special operation by chance.

"Alihan worked up as a watch in one of the trade pavilions of the Central market near the cabstand of Orjonikidzevskaya and also worked as a self-employed taxi-driver when possible trying to earn his living and support his underage children. He bought a car one and a half months ago. On the same evening he left home to inspect the store he guarded and at the same time he arranged to visit his friend in the settlement of Orjonikidzevskoye to buy two wheels for his car. At about 22:00 Alihan called his wife and asked what food she wanted him to buy. She asked him to get bread and mineral water. Alihan agreed and said he was just about to go home", Aishat Gardanova's statement which Head of Human Rights Center "MASHR" Magomed Multsogov posted in his blog on the "Caucasian Knot" runs.

Alihan Gardanov's mother states that on the scene of the special operation his car was blocked by four black "Lada-Priora" cars without state vehicle identification numbers.

"There were no offers to stop or any other kind of negotiations with the members of the top brass, his car underwent heavy fire from self-firers practically at once", the killed man's mother said.

In her statement addressed to Head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov, Public Prosecutor of the republic, "Memorial" Human Rights Center, "MASHR" and Amnesty International human right organizations Alihan Gardanov's mother asks to "help protection of the family's constitutional rights" and "rehabilitation of her son's good name". She also asks to initiate a criminal case on Alihan Gardanov's murder.
