In Dagestan, family members of kidnapped Sirazhuddin Khasaev ask republic's leader for help in his search

Today, relatives of Sirazhuddin Khasaev, who on September 3 was again kidnapped by unidentified armed men in police uniforms directly from the hospital in Makhachkala, appealed for help in his search to Magomedsalam Magomedov, the leader of Dagestan.

"We wrote a letter to Magomedov, the leader of the republic, asking him to use his resources in the search for my husband. Frankly speaking, I doubt that the appeal will help us; however, we should do something. We also appealed to all state institutions, including to law enforcement agencies; however, we are being told everywhere that they know nothing of the fate of Sirazhuddin," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Zaira Khasaeva, the wife of the kidnapped man.

She believes that law enforcement agents are involved in the kidnapping of her husband.

"There are relevant medical records of the Republic's Clinical Hospital, which clearly state that the patient was brought to the hospital by police officers; there, my husband was diagnosed with 'gunshot perforating wound to the left shoulder and the left side of the chest. Third stage thermal burn of both lower limbs', and the doctors also revealed extensive bruising and abrasions on his body," the woman stated.

According to her, her husband had to be urgently hospitalized. "However, they rendered some medical help to him, and then, other law enforcement agents took Sirazhuddin away with them. The doctor on duty notes the fact by making an appropriate entry in the medical records: 'to conduct further medical treatment at the place of detention, SIZO (pre-trial prison)'," the woman said.

"So, they represented the official agencies; however, when we contacted the SIZO and other institutions, we were told everywhere that my husband was not at their places. Knowing the specifics of the work of local power agents, we cannot rule out that my husband is no longer alive," Zaira Khasaeva has stressed.

The fact of hospitalization of Sirazhuddin Khasaev to the resuscitation ward was confirmed to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a source at the reception of the Republic's Clinical Hospital.

One of the doctors, who preferred to remain anonymous, confirmed that the patient had been really taken by unidentified persons in police uniform.

In his turn, Vyacheslav Gasanov, the leader of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan, has stated that at present, the fate of Sirazhuddin Khasaev is unknown.

"There is a bulletin, which registered that police officers really brought Sirazhuddin Khasaev to the reception of the Republic's Clinical Hospital, and we are not aware of his further fate," the source has emphasized.
