In Stavropol, about 30 people take part in ecological action "Let's do it!"

About thirty activists of Stavropol participated in the global ecological action "Let's do it!", which were held on September 15-16 in the form of subbotniks at the Assumption Cemetery and in the forest known as "Kruglenki".

The subbotniks were organized by the Committee on Youth Matters of the Stavropol Territory, jointly with the Stavropol Cossack Ecological Patrol; the action was also attended by activists of the "Ecological Picnic", the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Ruzanna Khaimova, a participant of the action and an expert on youth volunteerism of the Territorial Centre of Youth Projects.

On September 15, Stavropol activists cleaned the neighbourhood of Lyceum No. 16, which is located in the Kruglenki Forest (Victory Park), where tourists often have rest. In the near future the activists of the "Let's do it!" plan to put plastic garbage bins and stick posters to the trees urging tourists to keep cleanness.

On September 16, activists cleaned the Assumption Cemetery located in Fadeev Street in Stavropol. They plan holding such actions regularly, Angela Nazaryan, the leader of the Ecological Patrol of the Stavropol City Cossack Society, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to her story, residents are invited to report unsanctioned dumps and garbage heaps to the group of this ecological project in the social network "VKontakte". Visitors of the page have already offered to clean the vicinity of the water source St Seraphim of Sarov in Lesnaya Street, the stow "Koryta" in the Mamaya Forest, the area of Ovrazhnaya and Zheleznodorozhnaya Streets near the "Lower Marketplace", and the bank of the Chly River in the Chly Forest (North-Western Micro-District).

On September 16, an ecological action within the campaign "Let's do it!" was also held in the city of Mineralnye Vody: five young people cleaned the mini-park in the vicinity of the Orthodox Cathedral of Holy Mother's Intercession in Pyatigorskaya Street. The activists cut down the unattended bushes, cleaned and removed garbage, fallen leaves and dead tree branches.
