Young leaders of North Ossetia are invited to show themselves in social-managerial contest

From September 5 to November 5, North Ossetia plans to hold a youth social-managerial contest "Future Leaders of Ossetia". Its aim is to identify, support and accompany the promising young people of the republic aimed at developing their personal and professional qualities for the benefit of the region.

"The contest is a series of activities, including specially designed social-managerial games, managerial fights and training programmes for young people aged 18-28. The contestants will get a chance to win substantial prize money, be ranked as promising leaders in the region and noticed by major state and commercial organizations," Albina Djioeva, in charge of relations with media at the contest, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"Many people believe, not quite reasonably, that our republic lack any significant opportunities for self-realization of young people; for this reason we see an increasing number of talented young people who seek to grow outside Ossetia," said Alan Bigulov, the organizer and moderator of social-managerial games of the contest.

"Our contest will launch a mechanism of social lift for the young people seeking to be in demand in their republic," he continued.

The contest is based on specially designed social-managerial games. During playing, the participants will establish their virtual state with its own constitution, legislature, executive and judiciary, security agencies, taxes and electoral system, imaginary currency and other attributes of the state. Besides, they will create industry and organize businesses, banking sector and media.

"Thus, the participants will build a model of society and get a unique opportunity to try themselves in completely new roles, up to the president of the state, and show themselves at the level of activity, which for various reasons cannot be realized in real life," said Djioeva.
