Nine victims of terrorist act on Dubrovka to get compensation

Nine victims of the terrorist act in the Theatre Center on Dubrovka have obtained a court judgment according to which they will get compensation from the Moscow government. The plaintiffs' lawyer, Igor Trunov, announced he would deliver the acts of execution from the Tverskoy Court to the Finance Department and the decision would come into force. By this decision, the Moscow authorities will pay out over 265 thousand rubles in a lump sum and will pay over 17 thousand rubles monthly.

Besides, the lawyer reported that another three victims were to bring similar suits to the Tverskoy Court of Moscow.

The Tverskoy Municipal Court of Moscow started considering suits by former hostages against the Moscow government on 24 December 2002.
