Cache with great number of ammunition found in Chechnya

A cache with a great number of ammunition has been found in Chechnya, reported the regional operations headquarters on the counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus on Monday.

The cache contained 132 mines of the 120 caliber.

"With all the necessary precautions, the mines were taken to a safe place and exploded," the headquarters spokesman reported. The information about the cache, which was some 500 meters away from the Grozny-Sernovodsk highway, in the area of the village of Alkhan-Kala, was received from local inhabitants, he said.
