Republic's Clinical Hospital in Chechnya, opened in October 2011, still does not work

At present, new buildings of the Republic's Clinical Hospital (RCH) in Grozny, opened on October 5, 2011, do not work. The RCH will be able to take the first patients only in early 2013. This information was confirmed by a source of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent in the Ministry of Health of Chechnya.

"The hospital does not work! There are no patients here! The Republic's Hospital is located in Kemerovskaya Street (the village of Michurin)." The announcement of the above content is placed on the closed automatic doors of the RCH, which occupies 10 hectares with new buildings, a fountain and a park area with pond, located on them.

"Approximately, the Hospital will start operating at the beginning of the next year. The Republic's Clinical Hospital does not work, since there is no medical equipment there yet. Funds for its purchase should come from the federal centre during the coming months," said the source of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent in the Ministry of Health of Chechnya.

The corresponding agreement with the leading Israeli hospitals, including the oncology centres, has already been achieved. Besides, according to the source's information, some doctors of the Republic's Clinical Hospital are already being trained at clinics of Europe.

However, some experts, who participated in the construction of the new RCH's building, talk about poor quality of works. "Everything, what concerns the lines of communication, basements and other premises, was done with poor quality. Only one thing was demanded from us to do everything as quickly as possible and to complete the work till October 5, 2011, that is, by the birthday of Ramzan Kadyrov. The quality of work has not been controlled, and I believe that all the defects will detect themselves in the first months after the Hospital starts to work."
