Figurants of second case on riots in Manege Square sentenced to up to 3 years of imprisonment

Today, the Tver Court of Moscow pronounced sentences of terms, ranging from conditional sentence to 3 years of imprisonment, to 4 persons, found guilty on case on riots in Manege Square, which occurred in December 2010 during the rally in memory of Yegor Sviridov, a fan of the "Spartak" FC, killed in a fight.

Vladimir Kirpichnikov, Nikolai Dvoinyakov, Grigory Bilchenko, and Vitaly Vasin, depending on the distribution of the roles of each defendant, were found guilty under Article 212 (participation in mass disorders), Article 213 (hooliganism), Article 282 (incitement to hatred and enmity), and Article 318 (violence against a government official) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the "Interfax" reports.

The Court sentenced Vladimir Kirpichnikov to 3 years of imprisonment in a common security penal colony, Nikolai Dvoinyakov to 2 years of imprisonment in a common security penal colony, Vitaly Vasin to 3 years of conditional sentence, and Grigory Bilchenko to 2 years of conditional sentence.

Public prosecutors asked to sentence the figurants of the case to terms, ranging from 2 years of conditional sentence to 3 years of imprisonment in a penal colony. In its turn, the defence of the defendants believed that the court should sentence the defendants to fines, the "RAPSI" (Russian Agency of Legal and Judicial Information) reports.
