First additional flight from Yerevan to Syria was made without passengers

On August 2, the national carrier of Armenia – the "Armavia" Airline – carried out an additional Yerevan-Aleppo-Yerevan flight without passengers because of their absence.

The first additional flight Yerevan-Aleppo-Yerevan had been scheduled for August 1 to be made by a 108-seat Boeing. Due to lack of passengers, it was cancelled and the aircraft was replaced by another one of smaller capacity.

Nana Avetisova, the press secretary of the "Armavia", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the airline sticks to its promise despite the non-profit nature of the flight.

Ms Avetisova has added that the August 2 flight from Yerevan by a 50-seat aircraft SAG-200 was made without passengers, while 47 passengers got registered to the return flight' Aleppo-Yerevan.

Earlier, the airline said that, despite the lack of passengers, the additional flights Yerevan-Aleppo-Yerevan scheduled for August 8, 15, 22 and 29 will not be cancelled.
