The court granted a motion of viewing a video record of sufferer Zelmhan Chitigov’s evidence at a trial on the case of ex-employees of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Ingushetia accused of using torture against the detainees.
At the beginning of the session on July, 24, Nalgiev applied for attaching of the decision of acknowledging him sufferer on the fact of an explosion in the settlement of Surkhahi, Nazran district, near Nalgiev’s house on January, 13, to the case. He was taken to resuscitation unit. The judge temporarily dismissed the motion.
Zelmhan Chitigov’s attorney Toma Tsechoeva applied for viewing the video record of Chitigov’s evidence which is in the materials of the case. The court granted the motion, however Nalgiev objected against viewing the video without his attorney.
Hearing of arguments on the case was expected to start today but the court deferred the session till July, 27, for the reason of the absence of the defendants’ attorneys.
Elena Burtina, representative of NGO “Committee “Citizen’s Assistance”, considers that the defense is dragging the trial out.
