Russian and Georgian political scientists emphasized the importance of a dialogue at a meeting in Tbilisi

A meeting of young Russian and Georgian political scientists and experts in international relations is currently in process in Tbilisi within the framework of a program “Russian-Georgian dialogue for peace and cooperation” organized by Center of cultural interrelation the “Caucasian Home”. The participants already point out the importance of exchange of views and perception of the present-day situation with the relations between the two countries.

There are three groups of participants of the project: first experts in international relations, second journalists and economists, third human rights activists. The meetings will be held every two or three months.

Meetings of political scientists and experts in international relations from Russia and Georgia with representatives of different state bodies and NGOs within the framework of the project are planned in Tbilisi from July, 23, till July, 29. The project is realized with financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain within the framework of “Foundation of conflict settlement” program.

According to Georgy Kanashvili, Director of the Center of cultural interrelation the “Caucasian Home”, within the framework of the project meetings will also be held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Reintegration and the Ministry of Energetics of Georgia.

Eight young political scientists and experts in international relations from Georgia and eight from Russia are participating in the meeting.
