Soldier from Ingushetia sentenced to 2.5 years of imprisonment for humiliating his colleagues

The Barnaul Garrison Military Court sentenced regular soldier Ruslan Dobriev, a native of Ingushetia, to 2.5 years of imprisonment in a common security penal colony. He was found guilty of violation of the regulations with using of humiliation of dignity and inciting hatred with violence. This was reported by the Chief Military Investigatory Department.

Ruslan Dobriev was recruited from Nazran in November 2010, and, starting from February 2011, he served in the military unit 31466 in the position of "antiaircraft gunner".

According to investigators, several weeks prior to military discharge, he decided to take a photo on the memory of his military service. At night of October 25, 2011, Ruslan Dobriev woke up nine of his colleagues, forced them to lay their chests bare and formed a line from them with their backs towards him. Then, the inscription "INGUSH POWER" was written on the soldiers' backs with shoe cream, and Ruslan Dobriev photographed against that backdrop on his your mobile phone.

Meanwhile, Ruslan Dobriev punched each of his colleagues to the head.

According to the investigators, the actions of Ruslan Dobriev were caused by his desire to humiliate the dignity of his colleagues and "to demonstrate their weakness and submissiveness" in front of conscripts from Northern Caucasus. There are persons of Altai, Tatar, Russian, and German nationalities among the aggrieved soldiers.

After his military discharge, Ruslan Dobriev wanted to put that picture on one of the social networks; however, he did not do that, since his mobile phone was confiscated. This was reported on July 13 by the website of the Chief Military Investigatory Department.

In accordance with the Court's verdict, Ruslan Dobriev will serve his sentence in a common security colony, the "Life News" reports.
