Relatives of kidnapped Dagestani resident fail to file complaint to Prosecutor's Office
Relatives of Magomed Ibragimov, who was kidnapped today in the Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, who had gathered near the building of the District Prosecutor's Office, were not able to file a complaint. Meanwhile, the Chief of the ROVD (District Interior Division) has reported that he is aware of the whereabouts of Magomed Ibragimov.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the kidnapping of Magomed Ibragimov, a resident of the village of Kirovaul, World Champion in Sambo, was reported today by Magomed Magomedov, the uncle of the disappeared man. He believes that power agents are involved in the kidnapping. The kidnapping of the young man was also mentioned in the statement, received at the SMS-service of the "Caucasian Knot". According to witnesses, this morning, on the bridge of the village of Sulak, the young man was "captured in his own car" "without justified reasons."
The relatives of Magomed Ibragimov waited for the District Prosecutor to file a complaint about the kidnapping. "Having not met him, they wanted to enter the building to file their complaint to someone else. However, soon police officers took them into the cordon and did not want to let them enter the building of the Prosecutor's Office. When people started complaining and a conflict between them and the police was almost to arise, they were allowed to enter the building of the Prosecutor's Office," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Murtazali Tagirov, the head of the human rights organization "Fighter for Justice", to whom the relatives of the disappeared man filed their appeal.
According Murtazali Tagirov, the relatives of the disappeared young man failed to file their complaint to the Prosecutor's Office. "Guards of the Prosecutor's Office stated that the duty prosecutor was not in place and that there is no one to accept the complaint," Murtazali Tagirov said.
The relatives of Magomed Ibragimov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that at the second meeting with Askhabali Zairbekov, Chief of the Kizilyurt ROVD, he stated that he found out the whereabouts of the kidnapped man.
"Askhabali Zairbekov asked us to disperse and said that he managed to find out the Magomed's whereabouts and that he 'was detained by people who were above him', but did not mentioned their names. He has also stated that Magomed is alive," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a relative of the kidnapped man.
According to the sources, Askhabali Zairbekov has expressed his confidence that Magomed Ibragimov will return home till the morning of July 14.
The relatives of Magomed Ibragimov agreed to suspend their protest action and wait till the morning of July 14.
It should be noted that earlier, officers from the duty unit of the Kizilyurt ROVD told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they did not have Magomed Ibragimov among the detainees.
"When we appealed to Askhabali Zairbekov, Chief of the Kizilyurt ROVD, he invited the police officers, who were on duty at the time, when Magomed was kidnapped. One of them said that he had stopped the Magomed's car to check documents. According to him, the documents of my nephew were in order, he let him go and he never saw him later," Magomed Magomedov, the uncle of the kidnapped man, has clarified.
