A soldier perished during manoeuvres in Azerbaijan

An incident occurred in one of the military units dislocated in Baku as a result of which an ordinary soldier perished and one more got wounded.

According to a source in military circles, during the manoeuvres a soldier violating safety regulations opened fire from Government-issue weapon. As a result one soldier perished and another was taken to hospital with slight wounds.

Press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan confirmed the fact of the accident, "Interfax-Azerbaijan" media agency reports.

According to Head of Press Service of the Ministry of Defense Eldar Sabiroglu, as a result of Sakhil Ildar oglu Nagiev's careless weapon handling his colleague Akper Nasirov died, the wounded soldier's name is Suret Mamedov. The lost soldier was called up for service by military registration and enlistment office of Neftchalinsk district, "Trend" reports.
