A scuffle happened between students of the Ministry of Interior Affairs and natives of Northern Caucasus in Moscow

Late in the evening of July, 11, a scuffle happened between future policemen and natives of Northern Caucasus in the South-East of Moscow, a representative of law enforcement bodies reported.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, the scuffle took place near the students' dormitory. "The scuffle happened in Lefortovsky val street, house No 18A, where students and young policemen lived", a police officer reported.

He explained that a conflict between one of the tenants of the dormitory and a native of Northern Caucasus preceded the scuffle. After the conflict, at about 23:30, seven unknown men drove up to the dormitory in a Range Rover and Chrysler cars. They assaulted at the students and policemen with the use of traumatic arms and scraps of fittings.

"The assault lasted several minutes after which the attackers escaped. Three students got wounded as a result. The injuries were caused by strikes of fittings and shots from a traumatic gun. The students were rendered medical aid on-site", "Interfax" quotes a representative of the Ministry of Interior Affairs.

A representative of Chief Directorate of the Ministry of Interior Affairs offered rather a different version of the incident. According to him, two policemen and one accidental passer-by got injured as a result of firing opened by an unidentified person, supposedly from traumatic arms.

Three policemen were going back home from work and near house No 16 in Lefortovsky val street they met a group of citizens whom they rebuked for making too much noise, a representative of Press service of Chief Directorate of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of the capital reported.

"As a result one of the citizens wounded two policemen and one accidental passer-by, supposedly, from traumatic arms. After that he escaped in a Range Rover", RIA "Novosti" quotes the representative of Press service of Chief Directorate of the Ministry of Interior Affairs in Moscow.
