In Armenia, Ruben Airapetyan, owner of "Harsnaqar" Restaurant, gives up his deputy mandate

After today's meeting of Ruben Airapetyan with Serzh Sargsyan, President of Armenia, the MP made a formal declaration on giving up his deputy mandate. In his statement, the ex-MP emphasized that he ''would give all to return everything back, would give all to be in the place at the moment of beating of the military doctor to prevent such an incident.''

''I am sure that the guilty persons will be punished to the fullest extent of the law. However, not only the law is in question. The fact is that I cannot change anything. And I understand that perfectly. I will have to look into eyes of the Avetyan's family members with such a burden; however, I do not know how. At present, many people accuse me of the incident, and they accuse me of such things, in which I was not involved. Perhaps, they have the right for that. However, for myself, the first culprit is me, since I could not prevent the disaster in the place, relevant to me and my family,'' Ruben Airapetyan has noted.

Tomorrow, on July 4, at 10:00 a.m., in front of the building of the Armenian National Assembly, the group "We demand to punish all the persons, responsible for the incident at the 'Harsnaqar' Restaurant" planned to hold a protest action. The participants of the protest action intended to demand to deprive the MP Ruben Airapetyan of his deputy mandate.

Let us remind you that today in Stepanakert, the youth wing of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) "Dashnaktsutyun" Party held an action to pay tribute to the memory of military doctor Vage Avetyan, who died after the incident at the "Harsnaqar" Restaurant in Armenia. The participants of the protest action condemned the fight in the restaurant and demanded fair punishment for the criminals.
