Dagestan: Shamsiyat Abdulkadyrova was unlawfully detained, her mother asserts

Today, officers from the OVD (Interior Division) of the Kizilyurt District unlawfully detained Shamsiyat Abdulkadyrova, the mother of four young minor children, a resident of the village of Matseevka of the Kizilyurt District. This was stated by Azma Abdulkadyrova, the mother of the detained woman.

"Shamsiyat together with her eldest son a 10-year-old Khattab visited me in Kizilyurt. In the morning, she went to the bus station to go home by a shuttle bus. Just 30 minutes later, scared Khattab ran home. He said that his mother was captured by unidentified armed men in masks," the woman told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to Azma Abdulkadyrova, she immediately informed the relatives about the incident.

"At that time, armed policemen from the OVD of the Kizilyurt District broke into our apartment. They said they wanted to take Khattab with them for questioning, and I told them that my grandson would not go anywhere along. A small dispute occurred, and finally, the policemen left our apartment without my grandson. Together with our relatives, I went to the OVD to find out the fate of my daughter; however, officer on duty in a rude manner told me that he would not allow anyone entering the division and that my daughter would be released when they would that necessary," the woman said.

Azma Abdulkadyrova reported that the car, belonging to Shamil Ibragimov, the husband of her other daughter, was parked in the yard of the OVD. "I learned from the phone conversation that he was captured by armed policemen from his house in the village of Matseevka," Asman Abdulkadyrova said.

She has also stated that the husband of Shamsiyat Abdulkadyrova is Magomed Magomedov, who disappeared several weeks ago. Local law enforcement agents believe that he joined militants.

Officials from the unit on duty of the OVD of the Kizilyurt District refused to comment on the detention of Shamsiyat Abdulkadyrova.
