In Makhachkala, lawyer from "Kavkaz" Bar leaves building of Soviet ROVD

Israpil Gadadov, a lawyer of the "Kavkaz" Bar, left the building of the Soviet ROVD (District Interior Division), and no charges were filed against him. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by the lawyer himself during a telephone conversation.

Let us remind you that today, in Dagestan, power agents detained Israpil Gadadov, the lawyer of the "Kavkaz" Bar. The lawyer believes by that manner the law enforcement agencies try to interfere with his professional activities. Israpil Gadadov was brought by the policemen to the building of the Soviet ROVD. This was reported by Konstantin Mudunov, Chairman of the Board of the "Kavkaz" Bar.

According Israpil Gadadov, he was detained near the South exit check point of Makhachkala.

"There, I was stopped by officers from the patrol-and-post service, who asked to present the documents. I showed them my lawyer' ID, and then they told me that they needed to search my car. Then, I told them that we should drove to the nearest GIBDD (road police) post, and there, only in the presence of GIBDD officers, I would permit to search my car. In accordance with the law, officers from the patrol-and-post service are not entitled to search vehicles," the lawyer has explained.

Israpil Gadadov says that after that, the policemen asked him to go with them to the Soviet ROVD to complete the protocol on administrative violation for disobeying law enforcement agents.

"In ROVD already, when I had explained to the police officers all the circumstances of the case, and when my colleagues had arrived, the policemen decided not to institute a case against me and released me," Israpil Gadadov said.
